    Adult nostalgia with enough there for the kids. Very reminiscent of Who Framed Roger Rabbit. Starts strong, but not quite as good as Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers

    Low-budget, cartoonish slapstick inspired by the silent film era. Came highly recommended, but absolutely not for me.

    Pretty sure the screenplay was an AI prompt (“Happy Gilmore, but for pickleball”), but they did it a few years ago when AI wasn’t as good yet

    If only Guy Ritchie made a sequel to The Man From Uncle instead of this. Not bad, but also not particularly good.

    The visuals and music save this from being a total loss. More horror than Science Fiction, also has very strong video game vibes.

    Fargo meets Hot Fuzz, but unfortunately not as good as either. Some decent humor though, so above average for the genre.

    Seems I’ve aged out of this type of movie (college drug trip), but I get the appeal

    Talented cast, some beautifully shot scenes, but ultimately fairly boring.

    I only watched this because Matt Damon said it had to be optimized for people multitasking. Definitely some slightly awkward dialog at times, but otherwise a solid action film.

  3. Bugonia

    As with other Yorgos films, this is not for everyone. Recommend going in blind and sticking with it to the end (my wife did not). Great acting by Jesse Plemons and Emma Stone.

  8. Splitsville

    A bit much at times, but it’s a fun watch. Getting a very attractive actress to play your spouse is clearly a great perk of acting in films you wrote.

    Had heard a lot of good things before watching; didn’t live up to high expectations, but I still enjoyed it.

    I keep on going back and forth on whether I liked this movie or not, but ultimately I liked it more than not.

  46. Mountainhead

    This starts off really strong, absolutely nails the vernacular of the VC crowd, but then goes all in on physical comedy that I didn’t enjoy as much.

    I don’t understand how this got so many accolades, especially since the second half of the film goes hard into physical comedy
