One of the best family movies I’ve seen in a long time, worth watching even if you don’t have kids.

This was way better than I expected. Unlike the video game movies of my childhood, it’s clear the writers here have actually played (and enjoyed) Mario games.

Adult nostalgia with enough there for the kids. Very reminiscent of Who Framed Roger Rabbit. Starts strong, but not quite as good as Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers
