Neo-noir set in post-COVID California. Has a little of the Coen Brothers feel, but with a disjointed, messy plot and an abrupt ending.

This was way better than I expected. Unlike the video game movies of my childhood, it’s clear the writers here have actually played (and enjoyed) Mario games.
